Clinical Applications
The 24-Hour Protocol
- Fasting: Fast for 6 hours (Plain water only). No sugary fluids.
- Dietary: Avoid carbohydrates (sugar, bread, pasta), caffeine, and smoking for 24 hours.
- Physical Rest: Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for 48 hours before the scan.
- Medical Records: Bring recent kidney function results and all previous imaging CDs.
- Diabetic Patients: Blood glucose must be below 200 mg/dL. Coordinate anti-diabetic meds with your doctor.
Important Notices
Cancellations: Radiotracers are custom-ordered and expire quickly. You must notify us 24-48 hours in advance to cancel, or the cost of the tracer may be charged.
