Clinical Applications & Specialized Doppler

Vascular Doppler: DVT screening, Carotid arterial studies, and post-surgical monitoring (no contrast dye needed).
Obstetrics & Gynecology: Fetal growth monitoring, maternal health, and detailed pelvic organ wellness assessment.
Abdominal & Urology: Detailed evaluation of the liver (fibrosis/steatosis), kidneys, gallbladder, and bladder.
Musculoskeletal (MSK): Real-time imaging of muscles, tendons, and joints with dynamic movement assessment.

Preparation Guidelines

  • Abdominal Scans: Fasting (no food/drink) for 6–8 hours to ensure a clear view of the gallbladder and liver.
  • Pelvic & Pregnancy: Drink plenty of water and arrive with a full bladder to improve image quality.
  • Vascular Doppler: Generally requires no special preparation unless specifically instructed.
  • Procedure: A clear gel is applied to ensure seamless sound wave transmission; scans take 15–30 minutes.
