Preparation & Procedure Guidelines

  • Attire: Remove all jewelry and metal fasteners (zippers/buttons). A medical gown may be provided.
  • Contrast Agents: Certain exams require drinking Barium or receiving IV contrast to highlight organs or vessels.
  • Breath Control: You may be asked to hold your breath for a few seconds to capture the sharpest possible image.
  • Post-Exam: Standard X-rays require no recovery. If contrast was used, follow our team's hydration instructions.
